How to Change a Locker Hasp Lock

08.03.23 - Locker Locks

Here’s a step by step guide on how to change a Locker Hasp Lock:

  1. Purchase a New Hasp Lock: Before you can replace the old lock, you need to purchase a new Hasp Lock that fits your locker’s specifications. Be sure to check the size and shape of the existing lock to ensure that you purchase the correct replacement.
  2. Remove the Old Lock: Open the locker and use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the old hasp lock in place. Once the screws are removed, the Hasp Lock should be able to be removed from the locker.
  3. Install the New Hasp Lock: Take the new Hasp Lock and position it in the same location where the old lock was removed. Line up the screw holes on the Hasp Lock with the holes on the locker door.
  4. Insert the Screws: Insert the screws that came with the new Hasp Lock into the holes on the locker door and through the Hasp Lock. Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws until they are secure and the hasp lock is firmly in place.
  5. Test the New Hasp Lock: Close the locker door and test the new Hasp Lock by securing it with the locking mechanism. Ensure that the lock is functioning properly and is securing the locker door as intended.
  6. Dispose of the Old Hasp Lock: Once the new lock is in place and working correctly, dispose of the old Hasp Lock and any other components that were removed during the process. Be sure to follow any local guidelines for disposing of metal or electronic waste.

By following these steps, you should be able to change a Locker Hasp Lock with ease.
